Hope it is as pretty where you live as it is here today. Been outside planting flowers and working in the yard. Big weekend coming up. Saturday Sis and I are going to St. Louis Vintage Market and then on to the Annual Hook In, a lovely show with hooked rugs and supplies. So much wool to die for. Sunday we are going to Blues Primitives and Junk in Creal Springs, IL. We look forward to all three of these events and this year they just all happened on the the same weekend.
I have recently started making custom items for people. Wanted to shared a custom piece I just finished. It is a Vintage Schoolhouse Art Quilt. I really enjoyed creating it. School was one of my favorite places to be.
Hope you all have a beautiful day!!

Waiting for Spring
Light snow and very cold today. I am so looking forward to Spring. My sis and I did get out and found a nice little quilt shop today. The shop had a lot of unique prints. I picked up a few fat quarters, looking forward to using them.
I find myself putting a little of Spring in the things I am working on. I am sharing a couple of them here.
Warm thoughts,
Jackie

It's been awhile..
It has been a long time since I have posted anything. I post most often on Facebook and just seems I don't get around to my blog. I am going to try and post on her more often. Hopefully there is someone still reading it. Just looking forward to Spring now. It is so darn cold I hate going out. I have been getting some things done in the art room. I will share some of the things I have finished today. But first wanted to share this picture of my granddaughter. She has been taking riding lessons for over a year now and is involved in Pony Club. She just got her first very own horse. His name is Prince and she is very excited!
Just finished this, been working on it off and on since just after Christmas.
Thinking of Spring!
Christmas present for my sister.
Christmas present for my daughter.
Christmas present for my granddaughter
I will be listing these in my Etsy shop.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. Promise to post more often.

Hello
Happy Sunday to all. I have not been a very good blogger of late. Been very busy getting ready for Fall shows. I do post on Facebook quite often, would love it if you would like me there. The summer here has been quite pleasant until the last week. It turned very hot and humid, but it is summer. Hope everyone is having a great holiday. We are off to my Sis's for a BBQ this afternoon.
Here are a few of the things I have finished. Had a lot of fun making the jewelry. The little bags are great for shopping at flea markets, auctions, estate sales, etc. I made a couple for my Sis and I quite a while ago, we use them all the time.
This is the needle keep I made for myself several years ago. I would be lost without it. The little green velvet heart pincushion is a new addition to my collection.
Thanks to all for stopping by.

Hello
I don't know about you all but I have had a hard time getting back in the art room. We have spent so much time in the yard this year and my husband turned a three season room into a small home theater. I did finally get myself going and got this finished. I used some of my left over spoon handles as embellishment. Time to start thinking of Fall shows and Christmas Markets. No big plans for the 4th of July so I am hoping to keep the creative juices flowing!!
Have a happy day!!

Pond Finished
Hi everyone, wanted to share the garden and pond we have been working on for so long. Hopefully I will be able to spend more time in the art room!
This is an old wash tub, I painted it blue and planted flowers in it. I planted it for our oldest daughter. We lost her to Leukemia in January, she loved flowers. I call it Laurie's Garden.
I hate to admit it but my 50 year Class Reunion is coming up. Going back to Iowa to see all my old classmates. Hmm, maybe I should leave out the old part. Anyway looking forward to it. Also having a little family reunion at the same time. Really looking forward to that. It has been a while since we have all been together. Have a happy Thursday!

Lucky Me
I feel so lucky to have won a give away from the lovely blog A Little Bit French. I wanted to share the beautiful altered bottle Rhonda created. It came with an adorable little bracelet. I just love it.
Had a busy weekend, celebrated my Sis's birthday and our grand daughters First Communion. I quickly made a couple of tags to go with the gifts. I think they turned out pretty good for as little time as I had.
I made my Sis a piece of jewelry from an old brass drawer pull and a brass thimble, added bits of vintage jewelry, beads and a couple of charms. I was pleased with the result..so was she.
Have a beautiful day.
