WHAT IS SHE THINKING?

I just finished this collage.  I loved the vintage photo of this lady.  When I looked at her I wondered what she was thinking.  She seems to have a far away dreamy look in her eyes.    I sewed the fabric transfer onto an old album page, then added lots of laces.  I layered translucent fabrics over some old brightly colored fabric to give it that filmy look.  Added some old millinery flowers and vintage costume jewelry.

Saturday night was my Grandaughter's dance recital.  I want to share a couple of photos of her.
She hated this yellow dress it was scratchy and itchy.

I have been working on a match box swap for Bloggerett Sorority.  I am putting it in the mail to my partner tomorrow.  I will post a picture of it after she has received it.  We altered the box then stuffed it full of goodies.

I was so excited today I won two give aways.  The first one was from http://lululizinlalaland.blogspot.com/.  Beautiful tag and some lovely lace.  The other one is from http://tabithalenox.blogspot.com/.   A variety of goodies.  I will post photos when I receive them.  If you have not been to their blogs please visit  them.  They are both talented ladies.

My Sis is coming down to spend the 4th of July weekend with me.  We are going to spend the time in the studio.  Going to try making needle books.  The lake has a nice fireworks display so we will see that as well.   Hope you all have a safe and happy holiday.

Hugs, Jackie

Thanks for stopping by and sorry I'm so late in returning a visit. It's always fun to see work of other collage fabric artists. Very pretty.
And pretty cute ballerinas too.
Blessings ;-)

Hi Jackie,

I am a new follower of yours and wanted also to tell you I enjoyed the pictures of your grand daughter
in her lovely dresses. I love purple too. they are both adorable!

I also love your fabric collage. I have two I am working on right now.
I think I am too fussy when I put them together...I get stuck on what looks good and what does not.
I think your collage is just the right balance!!

Hugs and Smiles,

Susan

Your collage is beautiful, Jackie! I love the soft colors shining through the translucent fabrics.
Your granddaughter looks so cute in her dress but I can understand that she didn't like it when it was so scratchy.
Congratulations on winning Liz's and Kim's lovely gifts!
Hugs,
Julia
