Elegant hand

Hi all,  it has been a while since I posted anything.  I am working non stop to get ready for the Oktoberfest, had a birthday and several other things going on in my life, so just haven't had time.
I decided today I would take the time and get caught up on reading all the blogs I follow.  I was really missing you all.

I picked up this hand on sale, didn't know what I was going to do with it, but it appealed to me.  I covered the whole hand in lace then began to fill it with all kinds of things.  I liked it but thought it needed something, so I put it on a pedestal and added some fringe.  Looks elegant to me, what do you think, need anything else?

My Sis made me the most wonderful journal for my birthday,  I hope to get photos taken today so I can show you.  It is full of my childhood pictures and she left space for me to write the stories about each picture, just love it.  We are going back to our hometown in Iowa this fall.  There is a large flea market in What Cheer, IA (very close to our home town of Hedrick) so will spend the day there, then go to Hedrick and take some pictures.  We lost our parents when I was 21 and Deb was 10.  Hedrick is where all of our family lived but most have passed on now.  Really looking forward to returning for a visit.

Got to go and get back to work, everyone have a great day.  Nice to be back, missed  you all.

Hugs, Jackie

I love this. I also love when we pick something up, and do not know the intentions of it...lol. But we know it will be something...very nice.

Jackie,-I just visited your blog this morning to see if I had missed a blog--but -no! and then now you are here :)
I think you decorated the hand beautifully, and love the little box it is holding-too.
So good you and yur sister have had each others.

I think it is beautiful the way you embelish it. What a precious gift from your sister. Hope to see the pictures. Have a nice day going back to your childhood.
