Little Travel Journal and "Give Away"

My sis and I often take little trips to go junk shopping.....we spend a good amount of time lost, thank goodness for the Garmin.  We always make a travel journal before we leave to keep track of all our antics.   They are a lot of fun to look back on.  Here is one we made for a trip to Kansas City.

We used an old book cover for the front, then added various pages, some to write on, some with pockets to stick things in and some just for photos.  The rings make it easier to put more stuff in the book.  We always have lots of brochures, cards and even little mementos.  The journals make the trip a little more special.

Now for that Give Away.  I spent most of yesterday listing things on Etsy.  I listed several needle books and decided I would give one away.  I love to sew on cold Winter days.   If you must stay in, do something you enjoy.  I will also add a tag to the give away.

Just leave a comment, you don't have to be a follower, but it would be nice if you were.  I would appreciate it if you would help me get the word out about the Give Away.  You have until February 28, then I will put every one's name in the hat and pick a winner.

Here is what you will receive.

I read of your terrible year, the sadness you must feel is immense yet here you are creating exquisite art, it is beautiful to see that you are ensuring you have creative time.
I recognise your art from Sew Somerset and also I have visited your blog in the past.
It would make me so joyful if I were to be the lucky winner, to have in my hands your art, that would be so wonderful.
Thank you for this generous Giveaway.
Wishes

Hi Jackie.

I found your Blog from reading your spread in SEW Somerset. I love the artwork you do and your love of the old fabrics and such. I've played around a little with some mixed media using fabric ~ it's not easy and I admire those who can create beautiful things like you do.
Read some of your blog. I need to return to read more.
Thank you for having the giveaway. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Jackie, this is my first visit to your blog. I have been to Roses, Lace and Brocante Blog and saw the link to yours. Please accept my sincere sympathy at the loss of your daughter. Sometimes, art is away for us to work through our lives ups and downs. I am so glad that I wondered over...I love your work. Your give away is very inspirational. I would love to try doing something like that one day. I love journaling. I would love to be entered in your give away. Please come by and see me at my blog, www.Foxhollowstudio.com. I will be coming back often to see your work. Blessings, Teresa

This is my very first, but not my last, visit to your blog. I came from the link at Roses, Lace and Brocante Blog.
I like to make journals and am ALWAYS looking for ways to use all the various bits of lace and vintage things I find.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Please accept my sympathy for the loss of your daughter. I know from my own life that ART is often a wonderful escape and even a salvation.
I noticed a link for Dispatch from LA. I have taken many of Mary Ann's Classes. She is another inspiration!

This is also my first ever visit to your gorgeous blog. I came by way of Suziqu's Threadworks. I've fallen in love with your work so much I've added a link direct from my desktop to your blog!

I've been collecting vintage treasures together for the last year in awe of the beautiful fabric journals I've seen else where but have never known where to start! The creativity you share here has inspired me to set up my sewing machine!!
Your give away is absolutely gorgeous, I love the pink!!

I could easily spend the weekend visiting your blog.

Warmest hugs and my sincere sympathy on the loss of your daughter <3

What a lovely journal! I'd love to have my name in your giveaway. I'm visiting from Shane's and see that you live near St. Louis. I'm also in MO, but live near Columbia. It's nice to meet you! I'll be your newest follower. Hope you come by for a visit. My blog is pretty eclectic, so you never know what I'll be posting. :)
Have a nice day! I'll be back to read more of your lovely blog.

I linked here from Hetienne, simply because I thought your fabric art was so beautiful. I'm envious because I cannot sew a stitch. I will definitely be back to view your lovely eye candy. I send my heart to you for comfort for your daughter. I know your pain. I have been there. Much love. xoxo
