Thanks to Everyone

I want to thank everyone who visited my blog on the Alpha Stamps Blog Hop, it was so much fun visiting all the blogs.  Then to top it all off I won a piece of that great ledger paper, I was so excited!

I have met so many new friends through this blog.  I love visiting other blogs and seeing the beautiful art work, really keeps me inspired.  Just finished this piece yesterday.

I found this picture of an old house with a woman and her children.  Made me wonder why her husband was not in the picture.  So many possibilities.  The one that felt right to me was he was away looking for work and she was left at home to care for the children and the house.  I had an old letter that my husband's uncle  had written to his Dad when he was away picking cotton and missing home so I attached a piece of that.  Then I added things that she would be doing at home, sewing, cooking and then a piece of jewelry at the top because women need to feel beautiful even in the toughest of times..

Have a great day!!!!

Hugs, Jackie

Hi Jackie! I love this piece and love that you chose to look at the husband's absence as being sacrificial rather than abandonment. That tells me a lot about you as a person! :o)

You do very nice work! Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog!
I am following you now!! :o)

Have a wonderful weekend!!
